It was founded on a continuous concrete slab (no strip foundation!).
The 25 mm Ytong stone has good insulating properties and a good load-bearing capacity. It consists of high-quality natural raw materials, is open to diffusion and guarantees a healthy and comfortable climate. The high pH value of the material also counteracts the growth of mould. The brick acts as a ‘natural air conditioning system’ and thus guarantees a constantly pleasant room temperature both in summer and in winter, when temperatures are lower. This is a great quality factor compared to the usual building materials on the island, such as ‘concrete blocks’, you will appreciate and feel it. The solid wood windows are double-glazed and come from Bavaria. The roof frame is also solid insulated from Germany.
